Exit Wounds - 17 Wounds Of Exit
Exit Wounds is a new grindcore two-piece from Poland, releasing its debut album through No Escape Records. Seventeen songs, less than ten minutes. Bound to be bad indeed!
Exit Wounds (I wonder if they named themselves after that Steven Seagal/DMX movie…)immediately reminded me of the Dutch act Insult, hyper-aggressive fastcore with nasty screams, short songs that mainly blast, but occasionally groove like a motherfucker. The spirit of Napalm Death is also very much present on 17 Wounds Of Exit.
Aggression, speed, brutality and a couple of grooves. Entertains for ten minutes, and then it’s over. Perfect! Too short to become really irritating and it leaves you craving for more. It’s just too bad that there isn’t much more to say about this band.
Except for that I’m sure every grindhead in the world will probably dig this. Especially those old-school fuckers that witnessed the rise of bands like Napalm Death and Carcass will love this. Another great addition to the ever-growing Polish metal scene; keep an eye open for the next 300 wounds of exit!
